Content for the Monograph is commissioned. Submissions are by invitation only. Any questions concerning content should be addressed directly to the Guest Editor, and any questions regarding format of submitted documentation should be addressed to the publications office.
The European Respiratory Society is a member of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE), and follows COPE’s codes of conduct and best practice guidelines.

Manuscript checklist

- Title of chapter
- All authors' full names
- All authors' affiliations with full mailing address
- Correspondence details for one author, including full contact mailing address, fax number and e-mail address
- A short running head of no more than 45 characters
- Up to 6 key words
- Main text
- 4,000 to 8,000 words, excluding references
- Clear structure with subheadings
- Figures or tables
- At least one figure or table
